Within 4 years only we build our airport shuttle company from 0 to 17 cars and vans and we implementet the infrastrukture to organise this difficult logistics business. We offer a shared ride door to door service without a fixed schedule, so each day has to be planned from scratch according to the individual orders.

1. Airportshuttle bookingsoftware

Our booking system is web-based, the complete order processing is done by a web server.

60% of our shuttle clients book online through our internet booking form. We get this many clients to book online, because regular clients get an account. Regulars logg in to the booking system an find all their master data already filled in the form.

Our staff works with a more detailed online form. Bookings we get by phone are typed into the same online database as the clients online bookings. This way we collect all bookings in one database.

With the help of the detailed online form our staff can process all cancelations, changed bookings and all other tasks that are needed in the order processing for an airportshuttle company. All emails (booking confirmations, questions, cancelation confirmations and so on) are send to the client with only on button klick, in some cases without any text typing needed.

Some of the components are: exact documentation of every booking. automatic fare calculation, automatic calculation of travel agents commission, controll of order balance, controll of workflow by staff member.

2. Tourplanningsoftware

Our tourplanning software sorts all orders for one day by time. Two klicks bring a single order into one tour. A second monitor shows all stops of one tour on the city map. The map helps the dispatcher to bring the tourstops in the right order and helps calculating the driving time between two stops. Changes in the tourstops are made by drag and drop.

Our tourplanning is a computer assisted manual planning. The order of pick-up´s and pick up times are planned by the dispatcher. Our experience shows us that automatic tourplanning systems may work for parcels, but airport shuttle clients look out the window and psychology plays a big role in the planning process. Airport shuttles need a flexible solution at lower costs than an automatic system.
